Elaine Adams is proud to report the publication of her first book, The Healing House: A Memoir. It is available from PublishAmerica.com, bookstores, and from Amazon.com. Her lighthearted 1930s Bay Area "city girl" story is intertwined with long, rural summers at an 1893 Swedish-homesteaded farmhouse. Located at Hayden Lake, Idaho, the farmhouse was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. Of local interest, some old-time Sacramento "snapshots" are included. Helene Vorce-Tish's book, Fencing with Danger: Pavel Lubov's True Story is available in bookstores. This is a fast-moving nonfiction narrative that focuses on the life of Pavel Lubov shortly before the fall of the Soviet Union. Pavel was determined to expose the suppression of human rights. This led him to numerous beatings and confrontations with the KGB. Later, a love story evolves after Pavel meets a beautiful Russian girl. After much fast-moving action, Pavel receives political asylum in the United States. Later, Natasha is able to join him.
Arlene Evans announced the publication of her first novel, Dinner for Two, available from Echelon Press at www.echelonpress.com, Amazon.com, or your local book store.
